 The Hocking County Engineer's Office has the responsibility of all maintenance, repairs, widening, resurfacing, reconstruction, and new construction on all roads and bridges on the 212-mile county highway system. This includes in part: 470 acres of pavement, 1,200 acres of road right-of-way, 260 bridges, thousands of feet of culvert, 422 miles of roadside ditches, and thousands of road signs and traffic control devices.


The Hocking County Engineer is  the engineering adviser for all the Township Trustees for the maintenance, repairs, widening, resurfacing, and reconstruction of their 395-mile Township road system. The bridges on Township roads are the responsibility of the County Engineer as well.


It is also the responsibility of this office to provide comprehensive, transparent reporting of the previous year's information for the residents of the county and the general public in the form of an Annual Report. Take a look!
